Custom Foot Orthotics in Kailua HI

Simply Balanced

Balance is so much more than an even distribution of weight and mass. It's the basis of wellness. When a structure's foundation is weak, it begins to break down. This body is no different. Foot Levelers Stabilizing orthotics help support your foundation-the feet. You feel better when true balance is achieved.

Spinal pelvic stabilizers - A custom foot orthotic

Stabilizers are a great way to help with issues related to walking and alignment. Some of these include but are not limited to knee, foot and lower back pain. The need for orthotics is often related to an issue with the natural functioning of the foot. Stabilizers will often help to realign the bones within the foot and ankle and therefore take pressure of other parts of the body such as the back, neck, shoulders and hips. In addition, stabilizers will help with distributing your weight properly and take further pressure off of toes, bunions and other parts of the foot.

What specific conditions may be helped?

Stabilizers can help more than you think. Your body is an interconnected system of specialized parts, and the support structure that holds everything together is made of bones, muscles, ligaments, and tendons. If you are having pain or discomfort in any specific area of your body - anywhere from you feet to your neck - stabilizers may bring you long term relief.

  • Chronic neck pain
  • Posture
  • Lower back pain
  • Sacroiliac joint pain

How do I know that I need spinal pelvic stabilizers?

We use a state-of-the-art digital scanner to give us a color scan of exactly what is happening with the bones in your feet and if your weight is distributed evenly. Imbalances of the foot bones can result in abnormal foot motion (over pronation). This can impair foot function which can result in abnormal rotation of the legs which can affect the knees, hips or back. If we combine these tremendous forces with the need for precise balance, we can see how small structural changes in the foot can make significant differences.

Does it take time to get used to foot stabilizers?

Your feet need time to adjust to the correct biomechanical (walking) position. During the first 48 hours of use, use the inserts for approximately 3-4 hours. After this period of time it is recommended you use the stabilizers for 6-8 hours. In the second week of use the stabilizers can be utilized all day.
